Emma has worked in the field of mental health for nearly 30 years as a psychiatric nurse, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and university lecturer. She possesses extensive clinical experience working with both adolescents and adults in group settings and individual sessions. Throughout her career, she spent 26 years as a clinician at Roehampton Priory, in addition to her work in schools, charities, universities, workplaces, and private practice. She has dealt with a diverse range of issues, including trauma, bereavement, depression, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders, and addictions. With a background in drama therapy and later as an EMDR therapist, Emma employs an integrative approach that blends various techniques, combining traditional talking therapies with creative and experiential methods. She passionately believes in the transformative power of creativity to express complex emotions and experiences that may be difficult to communicate verbally. This approach fosters a safe and nurturing environment for personal exploration, leading to profound insights, healing, and growth.
