Cristina is a Psychologist, registered with BPS (British Psychological Society ) since 1995.  She did her Bachelors Degree in Psychology at the University of Oviedo, Spain, specializing in Clinical Psychology. She then completed a 2 year MSc in Clinical Psychology and Behavioural Modification at Cetco, Oviedo (Spain).

After moving to the UK, Cristina completed a Postgraduate Course in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT) at UCL Medical school (University College of London).

She has been an Accredited CBT Therapist with BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) since 1999.  Since then, as well as expanding my knowledge of CBT, she has also trained in Schema Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing ). These three approaches can be used as part of the same treatment plan and often complement each other.

IShe has worked in the public and private sector. Working for the Priory Hospital since 1996, she gained extensive experience as a therapist both in groups and on individual basis. she developed training programmes for resident doctors and for nursing staff. She has also provided clinical supervision to fellow CBT Therapists.

Since 1999, she runs her own Private practice from Ten Harley Street in Central London  and  also has a consulting room at The Priory Hospital Roehampton.

As well as doing her clinical work , she is a a Visiting Lecturer at Roehampton University where she develops and teachs the CBT module of their PsychD in Counselling Psychology. She continues providing supervision to other therapists.

She has a special interest in the treatment of PTSD and has successfully treated members of the army, journalists, members of the emergency services, abuse survivors, victims of disasters and accidents and victims of crime.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and fluent in Italian.
